Pre- and Post-Conference Tours

The Asia Pacific Pharma Congress is pleased to offer 2 city tours to attendees. Both tours are being offered on Monday the 10th and Friday the 14th of September. When registering for the conference you will be able to select and pay for these tours.

Tour A: Best of Shanghai One Day Tour

Highlights:

Bund, Yuyuan Garden, Shanghai Old Street, Shanghai Museum, Former French Concession District, Shanghai Arts and Crafts Store, Jade Buddha Temple, Xin Tian Di

Itinerary:

Begin with a visit to the Yuyuan Garden, a classic creation of the Ming Dynasty, and Shanghai Old Street, that originated in the Qing Dynasty. Then, the tour comes to the Bund, Shanghai's waterfront, well known as the International Architecture Exhibition. Here you'll enjoy the wonderful view of the both sides of the Huangpu River. Next is a visit to the Shanghai Museum of Ancient Chinese Art, holding a collection of more than 120,000 precious and rare works in 21 categories, marking it the most remarkable cultural institution in the city. After lunch, drive along the Former French Concession and transfer to visit Shanghai Arts and Crafts Store. Then visit the Jade Buddha Temple with its priceless jade statues from Burma. The last stop of the tour, Xin Tian Di is a stylish nightlife district with many boutiques, pubs, and restaurants .You could have time on your own there, or go back to your hotel with the group.

Itinerary:

You will experience the picturesque old water village Zhou Zhuang in this one day tour. With its interconnected waterways and beautiful environment, the town is often referred as the #1 Water Village in China. Zhou Zhuang is well known for its beautiful environment and simple architecture well preserved for over 900 years. The majority of the town's residences were built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and nearly 100 classic courtyards and 60 carved-brick archways are still in use. Visit the old residences of Zhang Hall and Shen Hall, and then take a boat ride across the old town. Transfer back to Shanghai after sightseeing.

Zhou Zhuang is about 1.5 hours' drive from Shanghai.
